Located at Metcalfe Park, it is a quiet, open grass venue which offers amazing views of Sydney City’s western edge – making it the perfect venue to watch the best films under the stars. Located on the grassy hill of the world famous Bondi Beach, it obvious why this is the most popular venue to watch outdoor movies Sydney. With the fresh sea air and summer warmth, grab some friends and watch all the latest releases or old classic under the stars this summer.

Various food and drink packages are available, however you can always BYO if that helps you experience the night on a budget.

St George Open Air Cinema – Sydney Harbour

Located at Fleet Steps in the Royal Botanic Gardens off Mrs Macquaries Rd, St George Open Air Cinema offers a picturesque venue to watch films under the stars. Whether its a school night or weekend, enjoy the outdoor cinema experience surrounded by the bright lights of the city with amazing views of the habour and Opera House. The closest drop off point is along Mrs Macquaries Road, toward Fleet Steps and you can also enter on foot via Mrs Macquaries Road.

The closest train stations are Martin Place and St James. The closest bus stop is on the corner of Market & Elizabeth Streets.

Pedestrian Access
You can enter our event on foot via Mrs Macquaries Road, continuing past the Art Gallery toward Fleet Steps. Prior to 8pm you can also walk to the event via the Royal Botanic Garden. Follow the shoreline from the Sydney Opera House to the Yurong Gate.

Moonlight Cinema – Belvedere Amphitheatre Centennial Park

This is a new venue for outdoor cinema, but I think it will be a popular one.  On the grounds of Sydney’s oldest university and close to transport. This cinema is more than just dog-friendly with free dog couches and treats.

Food and drink packages are available to purchase before or on arrival; however, prices are lower if you prepay.

Many buses from CBD, Central Station and the Eastern Suburbs stop near the Park. Bondi Junction train station is a 20 minute walk away.

Car
Cars can enter and exit the Park via Woollahra and Paddington Gates. Limited free parking is available. Please follow directional signs

Sunset Cinema – North Sydney (North Sydney Oval)

Located at North Sydney Oval, it’s the closest open air cinema experience for people on the north side of the city. The oval and its curator only permit certain types of bring-your-own chairs (no “pointy” legs), so you’ll need to read their full terms and conditions if you want to bring your own furniture.

Additionally, this venue doesn’t allow pets and is a non-smoking venue, so if you’re looking to bring your furry friend along, you might want to check out American Express OpenAir cinema – Inner West.

Little Nightowls – Darling Quarter

Alive with activity, this scenic area boasts spectacular views and is easily accessible via bus, train, ferry, monorail, lightrail, car, taxi, cycle or pedestrian access. Darling Quarter is just south of the IMAX Theatre and is easy to find.

Daring Quarter is located at 1–25 Harbour Street.

Mov’IN Bed – The Entertainment Quarter

Located at The Showring inside the Entertainment Quarter Moore Park, Mov’in bed cinema brings in a whopping 150 queen size beds with LED-lit bedside tables, some comfy pillows and you even get a blankie in case it gets chilly. With a licensed bar and catering at the venue providing a delicious range of snacks, meals, wine, beers and soft drinks. Hot food bought outside of the premises won’t be allowed inside.
